Misc. curiosity
1. Why doesn't Dave Logan post an image of his toenails -- before and after the laser treatment?
2. Desi says here and elsewhere that he migrated to Aurora with his grandparents from South Central L.A. where his father was associated with the
Black Panthers. What happened to his parents? Were they murdered or imprisoned?
3. Jay Marvin blogs that he and his wife are workng on a lawsuit. Was he a victim of the hepatitis disaster at Rose Hospital?

It is curious that Sirota is not happy with some of his great honor, President Barack Obama's "schemes." Whoa!
Also, he needs a personality like Buck's, as he (Sirota) lacks one. (So are Hick and Caldara lacking.)
Maes is the only other witty candidate.
I can't vote in the primaries.

The end doesn't justify the means.
This exchange does, however, remind me of one of the more bizarre moments in St. Louis broadcasting history. In the '70s, NBC affiliate KSD-TV (now
KSDK) Channel 5 had a news anchor named Patrick Emory, who went on to CNN, and a weatherman named Dave Murray, who went on to "Good Morning America."
These two did NOT like each other one bit, and one day it boiled over onto live TV. During the segue from news to weather, Emory -- sitting at the
anchor desk -- held up a large, elongated gourd a viewer sent in, looked at Murray -- who was standing by the ChromaKey -- and said "Bend over."
Play nice, now!

And Boobdocker (plagiarist, spy), I noticed you were observing me last Friday at 7:54 a.m. while I posted on this thread so I fooled around for a long
time to let you enjoy yourself. I watched you watching me.

Observing you? Heck, I'm hardly ever up at 7:54! But when I am, I do READ threads, including probably one you're reading or writing in at the time.
But no, Glad and I can't see what you're writing until you post it.
We can, however, tell what you're wearing!

Dudder, for that your butt gets 41 whacks!
BD, "Editing a Post" and a couple of other features have been turned off over at "Who's Online," I guess in trying (unsuccessfully) to stop us from
spying on YOU.
Is Judy Collins your client? Just curious.
All, remember Diogenes? When asked why he carried a lantern everywhere, he replied that he was looking for an honest man. Go Tom!

"Paranoia runs deep" -- Buffalo Springfield
"Editing a post" remains one of the "Who's Online" indicators.
As often stated here over the years, I am a Denver Press Club member, and frequently promote club events if they involve people involved in
broadcasting or -- in this case -- a voice frequently heard on local radio.
As Judy would sing: "Send in the clowns / Don't bother, they're here."

BD said: "...I can't see what you're writing until you post it."
I cannot believe that. You have accessed my and others' posts in the past and actually made changes -- all because of something which infuriated you
so much you could not restrain yourself.
So, if you can enter my posts AFTER I've posted them, you certainly can watch WHILE I'm posting.

Whatever you are smoking share it.....that must be some good Sh@t!!!
Before this turns into a "we never landed on the moon" type of debate here is how it works. Once you have posted on a forum...like this one...the
moderator, in this case Boon can then edit or delete posts as he sees fit. But only after you have posted to the forum, he cannot see what you are
typing while you are typing it....that's just stupid.
Now put your foil hat back on and close your blinds....that way they can't read your thoughts.

Exactly, Duder. What Adroit doesn't seem to understand is that this software is not dynamic. We can't watch keystrokes as they're being stroked. We
can only see posts after they've been posted. If I look at "Who's Online" and see that someone is writing or editing a post, I can't click on that
line and see what he's writing or editing -- or even what thread he's writing in. It just brings up a blank form, the kind you'd see if you were
starting a new thread.
We do not edit posts which "infuriate" us. The only changes we make are the following:
* We may edit out personal attacks that violate board rules, as I just did with Duder and RadioDude -- but even then, I did that ONLY after receiving
TEN "reported post" complaints in my u2u in-box. Even so, I left the portions of their posts which centered on the radio debate intact, and both of
them seemed to be OK with that -- or if they weren't, they didn't speak up.
* A lot of the others we're a bit more tolerant about, but we will definitely crack down on anyone who tries to expose the identity of one of our
members without his/her consent.
* There have been instances when somebody (remember, Adroit?) thought we killed a thread or post of his, when what we actually did was combine it in
the name of good housekeeping -- using our "Merge" function -- with an already-existing thread on the same subject. Once that's explained to MOST of
our members, they discover that their erudite prose is intact and even more cogent than it was before!
* WM has made it very clear to us the difference between self-promotion and self-aggrandizement; the latter, among other things, causes liability
exposure for DR.Net, and we've fought some memorable and bloody battles on this issue. Now we have a specific board for shameless self-promotion, so
that issue thankfully has cooled. We still, however, will be watchful for people who try to create a buzz by creating several user IDs with the same
IP address and conversing with themselves.
* If there was one issue that ever did infuriate me as a moderator, it was one incident long ago. A member started a thread -- but then didn't like
the two pages worth of responses it engendered, which tended to factually undermine his original post. So he went back to his original post that
started the thread and deleted it -- which, of course, killed the entire thread, thus deleting all the other members' writing contained therein. He
deliberately sabotaged a thread that wasn't going his way. There's no way in this software to keep that from happening -- but PLEASE don't do that!
It'll get your IP banned.
We have board rules, crafted by our wonderful WM Kathy Chavez (my favorite Republican!) and her lawyers, with our input and the lessons of experience.
PLEASE read them. But we don't like to be enforcers. You are the best keeper of the rules. They're there for your protection and to keep this board a
resource that Michael Roberts of Westword repeatedly calls "indispensable."

Another plank in their "platform" calls for the abolition of congressional pensions. Someone should ask Tom if he supports that policy and would be
willing to give up his. Somehow, I'll bet KHOW producers would never let a listener ask Tom that uncomfortable question.
Since Adroit is into conspiracy theories, though, I think he should investigate whether Tom has been promised a place in Gov. Hickenlooper's
administration in return for so nicely dividing the conservative vote and guaranteeing Hick the victory 3 months early. If I were George Soros or Tim
Gill, I'd be gleefully funneling lots of money to Tom!

Yo azzboil Adroit, I'm no admin on this site but I can sure as h*ll foresee what you're writing before you post.
See, everyone one of your posts starts with an insult or 2, devolves into a slap about our President, and pretty much continues into a vapid, vacuous,
inanely minimal fraudulent statement or two about the site admins.
Doesn't take any guile or surreptitious spying to know what you're up to but definitely takes us all down a few notches to even respond to your
rantings.
Just like a case of piles, you're a pain in the azz 'droit and you seemingly hang around not offering anything constructive ... but so be it, guess
that's your lot in life.
